Homemade (easy) Thai Boba Tea Recipe

Recipe by admin

This recipe makes one drink.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup tapioca pearls (boba), black sugar flavor

  • 1 Thai tea bag

  • Half & half (amount depends on how creamy you want it)

  • 2 Tablespoons pure maple syrup

  • Ice

Directions

  • Add the tea bag to 1/2 cup of boiling water; place in refrigerator for at least 1 hour. I leave the tea bag in but you can remove it if you don’t want a strong tea.
  • Once tea is cool, prepare the boba by following directions on the packaging. Typically you will need to boil water, add pearls, boil for 2 minutes, and then remove from heat and stir for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Rinse pearls quickly under cool water (this helps keep your drink cold).
  • Fill a cup with plenty of ice, half and half, and maple syrup; stir.
  • Add cooled tea.
  • Add pearls.

Notes

  • You could use regular sugar in place of maple syrup.
